When all is said and done The Bourne Ultimatum HD DVD doesn’t sidestep all of Bonds errors; the CIA staff are unbelievably daft and some of the film’s finest and most compelling scenes are only just carried by Greengrass’ skill in the director’s chair. The adrenaline rush the film produces disguises a rather thin plotline, and helps the viewer overlook the nearly suffocating air of self-seriousness.
