A Caterpillar forklift caused injury at a local factory today.
An injury occurred to day at a local factory. A man became pinned between a Caterpillar forklift and a wall. The man was taken to a local hospital, where he remains in stable condition. The accident is being investigated. The forklift operator stated that the forklift was idling as he ate his lunch in the cab of the machine. Suddenly the equipment lunged forward, pinning a man that was walking in front of it. The operator denied taking the machinery out of gear, so a thorough investigation is underway to determine whether the operator accidentally put the forklift in gear or if a defect in the machinery is to blame.
